M family, third time

As the last portraits, these drawings of the M family are 8x10 and drawn in Prismacolor pencil. This is the third year I've drawn this family, and it's been fun to see the kids change and grow. The light on my photos wasn't consistent, but I promise their skin tones were all fairly similar. Also, the lightest blue of the backgrounds didn't translate well in my camera, but the color transitions are smoother than they appear here!

This group shot shows the similar colors a little bit more accurately.

Blanket Fort

This is an illustration of my kids building a blanket fort for their new sister. It was created with Copic Markers and Prismacolor markers, with minimal Prismacolor pencil. The drawing is 11x14" Please click on the drawing to see it better!

M family

This was a Christmas commission of five cousins, with two portraits of each. For some of the kids I had a different photo to work with for the second drawing, others I just redid the first photo. I didn't have a lot of time to do this job, so I was glad I finished it and they turned out pretty good! I like the babies the best.

I liked the rosie cheeks on this guy, and drawing two haircuts.

I love the  colors in the skin, and the wrinkles on the wrist

The two pics of this girl turned out almost identical!

I like this version better than the blue one
